Mr. Moore is available to assist with finding reliable resources (nonfiction books, scholarly articles, nonprofit reports, government documents, documentaries, etc.) for your research-intensive assignments.
How will I be notified that my request for a research consultation has been received?
Once you submit a request for a research consulation, you will receive an email to make an appointment for a day and block(s) that works for your schedule (free block, study hall, etc.).
What is the average length of a research consultation?
Research consultations typically last 30-60 minutes in length, depending on the topic and the amount of information resources required.

Who is available to provide group instruction for students?
Kevin Moore (Library Director/Reference & Instruction Librarian) provides customizable bibliographic instruction and information literacy instruction in the library or your classroom to help your students enhance their research skills. Students will learn how to efficiently and effectively locate and critically evaluate nonfiction books via the library's catalog, scholarly journal articles via electronic databases, documentaries, government resources, nonprofit resources via commercial search engines, and other academic resources to support their research-intensive assignments (i.e. Capstone, RBI, etc.)

Once you submit a request for group instruction, you will receive an email to confirm your request and secure your requested day and block, if available.
What is the average length of group instruction?
Group instruction sessions typically last 40-70 minutes in length, depending on your selections from the menu, the assignment, the students' grade level, and whether you want time on the back end of the block for students to attempt to find resources on their own or to provide additional instruction of your own.
Where does group instruction occur?
Group instruction typically occurs in the Media Instruction Room in the Library, but can also occur in your classroom, if you prefer.
